Colby Caldwell has a solo exhibition at the Weizenblatt Gallery at Mars Hill University

Mars Hill University’s Weizenblatt Gallery is excited to present photography by Colby Caldwell in our next exhibition. Caldwell is an internationally-recognized artist.  A graduate of the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC, he has taught at the Corcoran and at St. Mary’s College in Maryland. Caldwell has created a variety of photographic series on different subjects: small game, abstractions from camera noise, birds’ nests, people, and mystical landscapes, to name but a few. He was invited to collaborate with other artists to create a multi-media interactive installation in Lithuania. Caldwell brings the viewer a different way of seeing the world, from small things that you would normally overlook, to the people in his life, to the world around us all. He now lives and works in Asheville and is the founder of the Revolve Artspace.

Colby Caldwell’s exhibition will run from November 20 to December 20, with a reception from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, December 4. Weizenblatt Gallery is open 10-4, Monday through Friday, and admission is always free.
